Jewelry

What is your jewelry made of?

Our jewelry is made of 14k gold filled, 14k gold vermeil, and sterling silver - they're high quality and can last a lifetime with care! All of the materials will be listed under the item description. Read more about the different types of gold jewelry to see why we use gold filled & vermeil.

Does your jewelry have nickel?

No, our all of jewelry doesn't have nickel. They are all hypoallergenic, meaning that anyone with metal allergies can wear them!

Can I shower with my jewelry?

For the most part - yes! Gold filled and sterling silver jewelry can withstand normal wear and tear from showering and sleeping in it. There are a few exceptions to this, however. Our Dainty Opal Necklace features an Ethiopian opal, and it should NOT be in contact with water, or it will lose its flash. Anything that is gold plated should not be in contact with water. This includes all of our Gemstone Spike Necklaces and our Natural Druzy Necklace.

How do I care for my jewelry?

You can follow these instructions to increase your jewelry's longevity & luster: - Wipe your jewelry after each wear with a soft, gentle cloth. - Store your jewelry in a sealed zip bag when not in use. - Avoid harsh chemicals, such as chlorine in pools & hot tubs, lotion, perfume, and hairspray. - Avoid sleeping in jewelry to prevent unnecessary wear and tear. - If your jewelry is looking dull, you can polish it right up with a polishing cloth! - To clean them, wash with lukewarm water and unscented soap. How can I keep my jewelry from tangling?

We have the perfect solution - our layered necklace detangler! We wrote an article about how to keep your necklaces from tangling using our detangler. All you have to do is clasp your necklaces onto the detangler clasp, and you can open/close the clasp around your neck! The plus side about this is, you are putting on 2-4 necklaces at once, rather than one at a time.

Here are a few tips you can use besides the detangler:

- Wear different types of chains to prevent tangling (e.g. combine satellite chain with cable chain).
- Wear longer/heavier necklaces with shorter/lighter ones.
- Unclasp the necklace and hold it from one end to let all the "twists" out, and then re-clasp onto your neck.

How do I pick my necklace size or ring size?

What is your processing time?

We have a processing time of 1-3 business days. During holidays, our processing time will be increased due to the increased volume of orders.

Can I change my shipping address?

We can change your address if you message us within 24 hours. If you message us after, we may be able to change it, but it is not guaranteed as it may have already been shipped out. We try to work on our orders as soon as they are in!

Can I change my order?

Can I cancel my order?

You can cancel your order within the hour that it is placed. After that, it may already be in production, and we will not be able to cancel it.

Shipping

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we do! We ship worldwide. We have free international shipping on orders over $200 USD.

Do you offer free shipping?

Yes! We offer free US shipping all orders, free Canadian shipping on orders $125+, and free international shipping on orders $200+ USD. It will be automatically applied.

Will I have to pay a customs/duty fee?

You might, depending on where you live. Although most packages go through without any charges, there are some that may incur charges (especially in the UK). Please note that we have no control over how your country charges duty. We are not responsible for paying any customs taxes on international orders.

How long does shipping take?

Domestic shipping in the USA should take 2-5 business days via USPS First Class Mail. We do have faster options: USPS Priority should take 2-3 days, and USPS Priority Express should take 1-2 days. Please note: these are estimated times, and are NOT guaranteed by USPS. International shipping takes 7-21 days via USPS First Class International. You can find more info in our Shipping page.

When will my order ship?

Your order will ship in 1-3 business days, since everything is handmade to order. It is usually on the shorter side. During holidays, our processing time will be increased due to the increased volume of orders.

What if my package is lost/stolen?

If an order is marked as delivered but the buyer didn't receive it, it is the buyer's responsibility to contact USPS to find the package. Stolen packages are unfortunate, but we are not responsible for what happens to the package after it leaves our studio, as we have no control over it.

Returns

If I am not happy with my item, can I return it?

Yes! We accept returns within 45 days of the order date. Items must be unworn with original packaging.

US Orders: Send your jewelry back within 45 days of ordering using a pre-paid label. You can choose either store credit (free return shipping) or refund to original payment method ($5 return shipping, which will be deducted from the refund).

International Orders: Send your jewelry back within 45 days of ordering. You can choose either store credit or refund to original payment method. Buyers will be responsible for shipping the package back to us.

Returns are processed within 1-2 weeks after the package is received. You will receive a confirmation email as soon as it is processed.

Can I exchange my jewelry?

You can exchange your jewelry if you get the same item in a different color or size, pending availability. If you want something else, you can choose store credit to get something you love!

When will I get my store credit/refund?

Returns are processed within 1-2 weeks after the package is received in our PO box. You will receive a confirmation email as soon as it is processed.

If I return one ring or stud from a bundle, do I get to keep the discount?

If you purchase a ring or stud bundle and fall below 3 or 6 rings/studs, you will no longer qualify for the discount. We are only able to offer our volume discount if the set amount of items are purchased. This will be reflected in your refunded amount.

A minimum of 3 pieces are needed to keep the 15% discount, and a minimum of 6 pieces are needed to keep the 25% discount.

Examples:
- If you return 1 of the 3 rings, the 2 remaining rings will be full priced.
- If you return 1 out of 6 rings, your discount will drop from 25% to 15%, so the 5 rings that you keep will be 15% off instead of 25% off.

Do you offer gift wrapping?

Each jewelry order comes with a complimentary gift pouch, ready for gift giving. All other pieces in that order will come in a cute peach envelope and a sleeve, which is also ready for gift giving. Add on's by themselves (e.g. detanglers and extenders) do not come with pouches.

Orders come with packing slips without prices, so you won't have to worry about the recipient knowing the price!

We try to be as sustainable as possible, so we include one complimentary gift pouch per order. If you would like an additional pouch, you can purchase them for $2 here: Extra Gift Pouch

Can I try your jewelry on in store?

Unfortunately, we are currently 100% online. We may try to have stockists in the future though!

Do you wholesale?

We are currently accepting a few retailers! Please send an email to support@simpleanddainty.com with information about your shop.

Do you offer a warranty?

Yes! We offer a 6 month warranty covering manufacturer defects. Please see our Warranty page for more.
