How to Put a Picture in a Locket
You've purchased one of our gorgeous lockets, whether it's the Oval Locket Necklace or the Heart Locket Necklace - congrats! Now... how do you get a picture in a locket? How do you print locket photos? Where can you even print locket sized photos?! Not to worry - we figured out how to put a picture in a locket so you don't have to. All you have to do is follow these steps!
- Go to Locket Studio’s website. This website will help you resize the photo for your locket. This service is amazing and free to use - thank you Locket Studio!
- Choose the appropriate shape - oval locket, or heart locket.
- Choose the width of the locket. For the oval locket, choose 14mm. For the heart locket, you can choose 15mm if you don’t mind it fitting a little narrow/tall, or 19mm if you want to cut it closer yourself.
- Upload your photo and click on edit. Zoom/rotate until you are happy with the results. If you choose 19mm for the heart locket, make sure to zoom out a little more so you can cut closer it correctly.
- Download the finished photo, and print it at home if you have a photo printer, or go to your local store to get it printed (Safeway, Fedex, Kinko's, etc!)
- Once you have the finished photo, cut it out & insert into your locket! The heart shape is a little trickier because the heart outline doesn’t exactly fit the locket. If you want an exact fit, use the paper insert that came with the locket to help cut the 19mm photo to shape.
- Ta-da! You’re finished! Great job - now wear your new locket proudly!
