Gold Filled
Gold filled is made of two layers that are mechanically bonded to each other: gold (5%) and jeweler’s brass (95%). Since gold filled is mechanically bonded onto the base metal instead of plated, the gold doesn’t rub off, and it has 100x more gold than gold plated.
Gold filled is tarnish resistant and perfect for everyday wear; you can go to the gym, shower, and sleep in it. It’s also hypoallergenic, so it’s great for people who have sensitive skin.
Sterling Silver
Sterling silver is an alloy of silver containing 92.5% by weight of silver and 7.5% by weight of other metals, usually copper.
Sterling silver is perfect for everyday wear; you can go to the gym, shower, and sleep in it. It’s also hypoallergenic, so it’s great for people who have sensitive skin. Sterling silver can tarnish if it's left out to oxidize with air, so we recommend storing it in a sealed zip bag if you are not wearing it. Getting it wet and wearing it often actually helps prevent it from tarnishing.

Wanted to love these more than I do as they are adorable. I ordered two Birth Flower necklaces for two BFF's Sweet 16 birthdays and both of them are scratched on the backside, so not the best craftsmanship. Also, I was so excited to see the cards explaining the flower meaning on them, until I read more closely The Lotus reads "Even when it's roots are in the dirtiest water, they produce the most beautiful flower. Perfect for someone that needs a bit of encouragement" which is difficult sentiment to gift someone. The Poppy card on the other hand is lovely, but I cannot give one card to one girl and not the other. I purchased these on sale so it's fine, but would not have paid full price for it.

I cannot say enough good things about this necklace. It's so pretty and looks good on anyone. It's the perfect size and the flower is so pretty. I'm a very simple person who wears very little jewelry but I have a couple of necklaces from this shop that I always wear. I got the lotus flower and it's so pretty.
